| National VOAD Board of Directors Update February 1, 2021 Good Afternoon,Following the recommendation of Koya Partners, the Board approved a search committee that consists of the following Board members: Mike Manning, Elizabeth Disco-Shearer, Tameka Sharp, Charlene Sargent, Jenn Dorsch-Messler, Zach Cahalan, and Patrick Crawford. Koya is developing the initial draft of the Position Profile based on what they heard in their conversation with the Board. This is the first step in the actual search process with the Search Committee.National VOAD staff updated the Board as to the progress of membership agreements and dues. Staff has been supporting the NRCC virtually for the recently increased activation level for COVID response and vaccine distribution. A draft of the final DCMP report has been sent to the consortium for review and feedback. Staff also shared the response from CDC regarding the letter regarding vaccinations. Finally, staff is seeking recommendations of contractors or firms specializing in curriculum development to assist with the creation of LEAD 2.0.The Board also approved the move to a virtual conference this year due to the ongoing pandemic, especially given the increases in cases nationally. More details on the makeup and schedule of the Annual National VOAD Conference should be released shortly.Mike Manning and Elizabeth Disco-Shearer were asked to continue to support the day- to-day operations. The board is exploring contracting with an interim fund development person. The Governance Taskforce continues its work to suggestions to improve organizational processes and governance. Efforts are also underway to identify a consulting firm to assist with assessing the health of the organization, good governance practices and consider actions to improve in preparation of a new President/CEO.The Board continues to meet weekly to discuss the organization’s business and ensure our continued advancement of the Strategic Plan while advancing the search for the new President and CEO.
