REMINDER: Lowe’s Reconstruction Grant  Request for Proposals   This is a reminder that National VOAD has recently announced the 2022 Lowe’s Reconstruction Grant. The 2022 Lowe’s Reconstruction Grant is made possible through a generous donation from Lowe’s and is designed for reconstruction material supplies in recovery and ongoing response projects across the U.S. & the territories. The application for this grant is due April 22nd, 2022.   Request For Proposal 
Grant Application FAQ Sample Application   ELIGIBILITY  All National VOAD members, including State/Territory VOADs and National Members (National & Associate), who are providing reconstruction services in recovery areas where Lowe’s stores are accessible. State/Territory VOAD’s must have 501c3 status to receive funding. Members of State/Territory VOADs are not eligible unless they are an affiliate of a National VOAD member organization.     AWARD AMOUNT Award amounts will range from $5,000 to $30,000 in Lowe’s store credit, with a maximum award of $50k per National VOAD member organization.  The National VOAD Review Committee aims to support as many requests as possible; therefore, award amounts are dependent upon the number of applications received.  APPLICATION PROCESS Applications eligible for consideration must be submitted by April 22nd, 2022.Reference the FAQ’s document for clarification on any questions before submitting an application.  Applications from affiliates, must be approved and/or submitted by the designated National VOAD Member Representative.    REVIEW PROCESS All Reconstruction Grant applications will be evaluated by an Awards Review Committee comprised of member and partner representatives. The Review Committee will determine awards and award amounts.  All applicants will be notified of the award committee’s decision the week of May 30, 2022. 

FEMA Hosts Nonprofit Security Grant Webinars

Gain insight into how the fiscal year 2022 Nonprofit Security Grant Program can help your faith-based, community or nonprofit organizations by joining one of the upcoming webinars.

FEMA, in partnership with the Department of Homeland Security’s Center for Faith-Based and Neighborhood Partnerships and the Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency, will start this technical assistance webinar series on April 21.

The program will provide $250 million through a competitive application process for facility hardening and other security enhancements to nonprofit organizations at high risk of a terrorist attack. Additionally, the program promotes emergency preparedness coordination and collaboration between public and private community representatives, as well as state, local, tribal and territorial governments.

Each webinar will last approximately 90 minutes and will be followed by a Q & A session. Each session will present the same content, including:

  • Physical Safety and Security: Vulnerability Self-Assessment Information and Tools.
  • Nonprofit Security Grant Program Overview: Eligibility, Allowability and Administrative Requirements.
  • Fiscal Year 2021 NSGP: Summary Recap and Lessons Learned.
  • Fiscal Year 2022 NSGP: Quick Start Guide – Application Assistance.
  • Open Forum: Moderated Question and Answer Session.
